Sam was born in the snowy suburbs of northern Chicago, but was raised in rural middle Tennessee. Sam was raised by Godly parents who blessed him with a thorough Bible education from an early age. At fourteen, he professed faith in Jesus and was baptized. During Sam's time in college, he met his wife, Corinne, and after graduating from Tennessee Technological University, they were married. Shortly thereafter, Sam and Corinne moved to Memphis for Sam to pursue a doctoral degree in physical therapy. During this move Sam and Corinne found Park Avenue Church and became members in 2018. Sam serves as the Deacon of Widow Care to serve the Widows and Shut-Ins of PAC. Sam and Corinne are the parents of an amazing little girl.
