Dallas grew up in a Christian family that taught him to love Jesus from a young age, and he professed faith in Christ at 8 years old. Dallas answered a ministry call around age 16 and attended college to prepare for ministry afterwards. After college and teaching in the UK,  Dallas attend seminary in Memphis where he met his wife Stefanie. They have four daughters, and he works as a professor at Baptist Health Sciences University.
