Jerry was born in Grand Junction Tennessee, but grew up in Memphis. Jerry is a  graduate from Craigmont High School and became a Christian at 15 years old.

Jerry has been with the church since 1980 when he was employed here as a custodian. During these early years the senior men at the church began sharing their knowledge of the facilities and unknowingly preparing him for the role he holds today. Jerry serves as the deacon of facilities and grounds in addition to serving on staff as the maintenance director. Jerry along with his wife Anita have been members of the church for 13 years. They have three children - Jerry Jr., Allecia, and Jeremiah.
